HealthServe is
a ministry of Christian
Medical Fellowship (CMF). Through HealthServe, CMF
aims to mobilise and support Christian healthcare professionals
and students in serving Christ throughout the world.
N.B. CMF is not a mission agency, and does not currently
send anyone overseas (although it has many members working
across the globe for other mission agencies). CMF is an association
of Christian doctors based in the United Kingdom and the
Republic of Ireland so our main emphasis is on mobilising
Christian health professionals from the UK and Ireland to
serve in other nations. However, the HealthServe Team will
try to help any Christian health professional from any nation
that comes to us.
There are many opportunities for doctors, nurses, midwives,
therapists, dentists, administrators & managers, technicians,
psychologists, health educators, counsellors, dieticians,
pharmacists and students of all healthcare disciplines to
serve Christ and His church in the developing world.
On this site you will find information about vacancies for
health personnel with Christian agencies around the globe,
information on working short and long-term overseas, about
planning electives in a healthcare mission setting as part
of your training, etc. There is information on the courses
and conferences that we run for students and qualified health
professionals involved in mission, as well as other healthcare
mission related courses and conferences around the world.
All this information can be emailed to you directly as it
is posted on the site if you sign up to our email alerts
service.
In addition, there is a large database of resources called
HealthServe Pages, which includes everything, from journals
and training resources to mission agencies, to national Christian
health professionals associations, etc. These resources are
all there to help you if you are currently, or are planning
to serve the Lord overseas as a health professional.
