| Placements Available | Limited places. Unable to accept more than 7 students per year from worldwide applications for any placement. |

| Christian Commitment | While JHF is not a religious organisation, they do have a strong Christian background and ethos and only accept students with a commitment to mainstream Christian beliefs. |
| Travel Expenses | Student pays. Total cost varies, but a 10 week final year medical elective including international and internal travel costs and insurance is likely to be in the region of £2000. |
| Board and Lodging | Student - JHF will organise. Previous students have been expected to pay tuition for their elective period. These are usually at local students rate and have been reasonable. |

| Notes | If you are a Non-Mandarin Speaker there is a high likelihood of the elective being more observational than 'hands-on' |
