Act4Africa is a health education charity which delivers HIV and AIDs Education and Behavioural Change Programmes in an effort to arrest the AIDS pandemic which is threatening a whole continent.
They offer short-term trips and electives.

| Notes | Resting on the shores of Lake Victoria, you will be based in Jinja in one of the foremost research centres for HIV/AIDS in Uganda, where you can experience African medicine at its best. Then you will go over to Kasese, West of Uganda and on the border of the untamed Congo, where you will work with their local Community Health Education teams, and also gain experience of African medical practices in a 'bush hospital'. Their medical student electives programme meet the requirements of all major British medical schools, and offer you: 1) A guaranteed clinical placement, organised by professional staff in Uganda, Africa. 2) Your food and living costs overseas. 3) Ongoing support from their staff throughout placement. 4) Expert advice and support from their UK team before you go out to Africa. 5) The knowledge that as a registered charity, all profit goes directly back into our HIV/AIDS overseas projects. *Project Target does NOT include return Airfares. |
