Nursing
This varies so much from country to country. Be prepared to get involved or to stand back as appropriate. Try to learn something about the conditions you will meet in advance as they may be very different from the things you are used to at home, but remember that medication, equipment and treatment rationales are also likely to be vastly different too. Try not to be critical, but in humility learn whatever you can about the local situation and constraints – look for the good wherever you are and reflect on what this experience is teaching you about things at home as well as those overseas.
