Developing Health Residential Refresher Course, 5 – 16 July 2004
The brochure for the 2004 Developing Health Course is now available from CMF and MMA HealthServe. More information is available at http://www.healthserve.org/resref.htm.
Held annually at Oak Hill Theological College in Southgate, North London UK, this course offers intensive essential skills training in all areas of healthcare in the developing world – especially focussing on resource poor settings. It offers a chance for clinical updating for health professionals working in the field (and is recognised by the Royal College of Physicians and the Nursing and Midwifery Council as counting towards CME and PREP for UK registered doctors, midwives and nurses).
It also offers an excellent opportunity for those interested in working overseas to get a crash course in the essentials of healthcare in the developing world.
The course costs £360 for the full two weeks (including bed and full board). Day rates are charged at £50 (including meals). Special day rates for those on limited incomes including students and retirees are available on request. Other discounts on the full two weeks are also available for full time mission personnel.
Please contact Peter Armon at CMF for more details.
