Healthcare Sunday 2005
Health is an issue that effects us all. At some stage in our lives every one of us will look to a health professional for help and advice.

Healthcare Sunday is an opportunity for Churches to recognise the work done by healthcare professionals and voluntary carers. It also gives an opportunity to pray for the nation's health provision, as Christians in the community we have a responsibility for the health of the nation. There are more opportunities now than ever before for the Church to take the lead in creative compassionate caring within the community.

Since 1992, Healthcare Sunday has been celebrated around the world. In 2005, the Sunday nearest St Luke's Day (18th October) is October 16th, however this is flexible as it may be necessary to choose another date to fit in with your Church's programme.

The resources for Healthcare Sunday 2005 have just been published on on the internet, allowing you to donwlaod prayer facts, background information, service outlines and other information
