CMF Sister Agency Linking Hands Highlights Needs for Medical Volunteers in Kashmiri Earthquake

The Singapore based agency, Linking Hands, is highlighting a growing number of needs for volunteers to respond to the earthquake in Kashmir earlier this month.  As it was revealed today, the United Nations has received only 30% of the funds it has asked for to deal with the mounting crisis, with over three million homeless and at risk of diseases, malnutrition and exposure with coming Himalayan winter, there is precious little time left to act.  The UN fears that the death toll could eventually exceed that of the Boxing Day Tsunami if we do not act to start saving the lives of the hundreds of thousands of injured and millions of homeless now.

If you are interested in volunteering to help, contact either Linking Hands in Singapore on contact@linkinghands.org/ website www.linkinghands.org, or contact the HealthServe team at CMF in the UK on healthserve@cmf.org.uk or watch the HealthServe website for more news and information on opportunities to volunteer and help in the face of this dreadful disaster.
