WANTED:

Medair are seeking various personel. Medical Doctors, Nurses, Midwives, Health Promoters, Managers to work in Africa or Asia

Main areas of activity:

  • Diagnosing and treating patients,
  • Evaluate the health needs of a population,
  • Design health programmes in consultation with local authorities, local NGOs and international organisations,
  • Write proposals for funding and reports,
  • Implement, monitor and control health programmes,
  • Manage health projects,
  • Train and supervise local staff,
  • Reporting to the Medical Coordinator.

Skills and qualifications needed:

Minimum 2 years post graduate professional experience, training in Primary Health Care or Tropical Medicine an asset.

Length of term:

1 year (minimum contract), 2+ years preferred

Languages needed:

English (essential), knowledge of French, Portuguese or Arabic and asset.

Salary or Self Funded:

First year voluntary, second year onwards salaried

Accommodation/Flights

Accommodation is provided. Flights provided for except for first assignment.
