A Christian mission hospital in Northern Cameroon is looking for a Christian surgeon as soon as possible either short-term (until January 2009) or longer term. A hospital-based GP is also required.
Location: Meskine village, 10km from Maroua, Extreme-North province, Cameroon.
In partnership with: Medical Centres of West Africa of Barton Rouge, LA,USA and Action Partners, UK.
100 bed hospital with a large out-patient department, working with a small team of doctors.
Language: French-speaking area. Although a short-term surgeon needn't have much French, some French is necessary for a GP.
Finances: volunteer position, i.e. MCWA personnel raise their own financial support or pay their own cost of living and travel to Meskine.
