The information we collect.
Information you give to us is collected and processed by HealthServe for the following reasons:

• To send out HealthServe magazine and other literature that has been requested.
• To keep details of those who have donated financially to the work of HealthServe in order to process Gift Aid claims and for ongoing dialogue.
• To maintain list of healthcare professionals who are available for short-term Locum placements.
• To provide financial grants for healthcare students going on their medical elective and to qualified healthcare professionals working in health development and healthcare mission seeking funding for further training opportunities.
• To maintain an on-going dialogue with Christian Healthcare Professions and Students with the aim of promoting an interest in world mission.

The information you give will only be processed for the purpose for which it was collected and will be stored electronically in accordance with the UK Data Protection Act.

We aim to keep your information only as long as it is needed to fulfil the service that you have requested from us. After this time your details will be removed from our records.

How we use and who has access to your information
It is our policy not to pass on your information to any other organisations. However we do occasionally send out literature on behalf of other like-minded organisations. If you do not want to receive these mailings simply inform us at the HealthServe office (contact details below) or tick the “opt-out” option where it is provided on any response forms or collection points.

Also, we will sometimes contact you for the following reasons:

• To give further details of HealthServe and the activities we perform.
• To clarify that the details we hold are correct.
• To obtain any extra information that we require to fulfil any service you have asked us to provide.

If you are receiving mailings that you do not want from us, please contact us and we will make sure that you do not receive them in the future.

Making changes to your information
If the information we hold about you is not correct you can contact us requesting your information to be changed in the following ways:

Removing your details from our database.
If at any time you would like your information to be removed from our database, you can contact us (see above) requesting that your details be removed. Obviously, we will no longer be able to continue any correspondence with you from that time.
